sepaThe Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Montgomery County has joined forces with other tobacco service providers and tobacco-free coalitions across seven neighboring counties. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Tobacco Control Project partnership was formalized as a result of the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s (PA DOH) transition of the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program from a county-based model to a regional model.  PA DOH designated the Health Promotion Council (HPC) as the Primary Contractor for the region.  Beginning October 1, 2007, service providers in Schuylkill, Berks, Lancaster, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, and Montgomery counties now work together to reduce tobacco-use and exposure.
